The Success Story of the 9th International Conference on Agriculture 2022 (AGRICO 2022)
The 9th International Conference on Agriculture 2022 The was held on 11th – 12th August 2022 in Virtual Platform under the theme “Sustainable Utilization of Resources in Agriculture: Way of Food Security and Safety”. The conference was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka.
The conference provided an opportunity for delegates to share their valuable knowledge and experience of disability from various perspectives. Moreover, the conference welcomed 85+ Participants from 26 Countries around the world.
INAUGURATION CEREMONY AND KEYNOTE SPEECH
The opening remarks of AGRICO 2022 were made by Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Co-Founder & Managing Director – The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka) and the Conference Chair, Prof. Dr. Samih Abubaker (Former Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan) and Assoc. Prof. Siva K. Balasundram (Head of Department of Agriculture Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia).Representing academic partner universities, Dr. Rekha Vyas Zonal, Dr. Shanti Kumar Sharma, Prof. Abdul Ganiya Shaibu, Prof. Sarath Kodithuwakku and Dr. David Nartey Obemah respectively from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, University for Development Studies, University of Peradeniya and CSIR – Soil Research Institute addressed the gathering. The keynote speakers were Prof. Buddhi Marambe (Professor, Weed Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka), Dr. Shanti Kumar Sharma (Director Research, Directorate of Research, RCA Campus, Director, ICAR Centre for Advanced Faculty on Organic Farming, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, India) and Assoc. Prof. Jorge Alberto Zavala, (University of Buenos Aires, School of Agronomy, Argentina).
